Oprah Chimp Victim
Charla Nash, Connecticut woman attacked by a 200-pound chimp in Stamford, went to "The Oprah Winfrey Show" to talk about the test and to show her face publicly distorted. "I think not," Nash said Wednesday Episode Winfrey Show. "And is it not time for that anyway because we need to heal, you know, do not look back." Nash Winfrey said she was blind, he eats with straw, and has only partial use of the posted hands. I hope to get a face and hand transplant in the pet chimpanzee future.Nash to her friend back to February 16, 2009. The attack happened in the house of the animal's owner, Sandra Herold. Nash attacked now complains Herold . The chimps ripped the hands of Nash, nose, lips and eyelids. The police responded to a call 911 and shot the animal.Nash Tolède the AP repeatedly warned that the friened who was the owner of the chimpanzee's dangerous.
Yesterday Charla Nash, the victim viciously mauled by a chimp in February, appeared on Oprah. She decided to do the interview so she could reveal her face on her own terms. By appearing on Oprah, Charla Nash could reveal her face with respect and dignity. Otherwise she knew that a tabloid magazine would try to sell her photos for thousands of dollars. Her story is probably one of the most astounding interviews I've witnessed. It's an absolute miracle that she lived and more so that she can speak. Doctors had to reconstruct her tongue; her face was torn apart by the chimpanzee. Her bravery and positive attitude despite everything she's gone through is inspirational. All of us need to try harder to get through obstacles in our lives. If she can get through this, then we can get through our tough times (that don't compare to hers) as well.
